I'm Tim Packer, and
- I've been Wikipeding since January 2005 (though I was quoted on Wikipedia some time before 2002).
- I live in Durham and work for an oil consultancy firm in Sunderland.
- I attend St Nicholas' Church, Durham, and used to serve on the Diocesan Synod of Durham diocese.
- I'm a graduate of the University of Durham - I was at St Chad's College. When I was a student I was Senior Returning Officer and later Communications Officer of Durham Students' Union. I've also been on the Elections Committee of the National Union of Students.
- I do Live Roleplay - I'm a former head system ref of Durham University Treasure Trap, and I also play in the Lorien Trust, Maelstrom and Eleventh Hour systems.
- I play bass guitar, double bass, guitar, drums, piano and a few other things. I play in the band at St Nic's evening service, and lead the worship at Scripture Union's Transformers holiday. I also play (principally tuned) percussion in Bearpark and Esh Colliery Band. My old band, 2bc, is sadly defunct.
- I represented Durham on University Challenge's 2000-1 series (we were knocked out in the second round by the eventual winners, Imperial College).
- I'm not Notable, but my dad is.
[edit] Pages I'm Interested In
This is a summary of my Watchlist, really, which I suppose reflects the pages I have an ongoing interest in and think I have some expertise on. Most of these are also pages I've had significant input into.
- University of Durham, and its associated pages, including Durham Students' Union, the college pages and the templates associated with it.
- Church of England
- Ripon, Bishop of Ripon and Bishop of Ripon and Leeds
- Plurality and a few other voting-related pages
- St Nicholas' Church, Durham
- Treasure Trap and Live Action role-playing game
My contributions page has lots of other things on; but many of them are pages I edited once (for example, if I spotted a particular factual error) and am unlikely to return to. Or they're pages that should be in the list above, but I forgot to put them there.
