Tsivilsky District

Tsivilsky District (Russian: Цивильский райо́н; Chuvash: Çĕрпӳ районĕ) is a district (raion) of the Chuvash Republic, Russia. The district's administrative center, the town of Tsivilsk, is located 37 kilometers (23 mi) from Chuvashia's capital city of Cheboksary. Area: 790.8 square kilometers (305.3 sq mi). District's population: 38,744 (2002 Census); 37,581 (1989 Census).

The district was formed on September 5, 1927. It is situated in the north-eastern part of Chuvashia, bordering Cheboksarsky District in the north and north-west, Mariinsko-Posadsky District in the north-east, Kanashsky District in the south, and Krasnoarmeysky District in the west.

The Head of the District Administration is Nikolay Vitalyevich Yevdokimov.
