The Great Tsivil (Russian: Большо́й Циви́ль, Bolshoy Tsivil' ; Chuvash: Мăн Çавал, Măn Çaval) or simply Tsivil in its lower stream (also spelled Civil) is a river in Chuvashia, Russian Federation, the right tributary of the Volga River. Tsivil is 173 km long, its watershed area is 4,658 sq. km. Near Tsivilsk the Little Tsivil flows to the Great Tsivil and they form Tsivil river, which falls to the Volga near Novocheboksarsk. Other major inflows are Unga and Kunagar Rivers. Its ear runoff volume is 640 mln. cub m.
