What is the connection of this article to History of Russia? I don't think that just because there was relationship between Tsentralna Rada and Russia, it should be part of Russian history. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 24.185.133.119 (talk • contribs).

I don't have strong feelings either way, but I suppose the reason this article is in category:History of the Soviet Union and Soviet Russia, is because it is a topic very directly related to end of the Russian Empire. The Central Rada was the immediate successor to Russian power in Ukraine (and with the loss of Ukraine, the Empire became no longer an empire). I think the category implies that this article is related to that subject, but in no way makes the Central Rada Russian. Michael Z. 2007-06-26 04:20 Z

[edit] Ukrainian National Council

Is this the same Rada as mentioned in the Polish-Ukrainian War article, also called the Ukrainian National Council? --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| talk 06:05, 29 January 2008 (UTC)

It looks like the Ukrainian National Rada (formed 18 October 1918 which matches the other article) and the Tsentralna Rada were different. Tomorrow I will try to get to that article also. Ostap 06:19, 29 January 2008 (UTC)
