Description

This false-color thermal infrared image shows Tropical Storm Charley just prior to landfall on August 22 at 0925 UTC. Maximum sustained winds were 45 miles per hour and the minimum central pressure was 1000 mb. This image was produced from data from NOAA-14, provided by NOAA.
