Although a fan of Wikipedia, I am only an occasional contributor. I like to add bits and pieces to articles that add to the information. I just do not have the patience to sit for hours and compose articles, even ones that I am interested in. I would rather be outdoors chopping wood. Hell, I even have a blog and each entry is not much more than a sentence or two. This userpage info is more than I usually write.
I have several interests, the biggest being all things historical. I love history, especially American History. Having grown up in Lisbon Falls, Maine, I am interested in all things Lisbon Falls. (which is more than you might first imagine--Worumbo Woolen Mills, world famous wool cloth--Stephen King--Eddie Waitkus--John Gould) [1]
I am also interested in trucks, especially Peterbilts and Autocars.
My passion is to prevent the use of the word "hero" from being dissapated. "hero" should be reserved for anyone who puts their life in danger to save another human being. "hero" is not the local postman that puts in 30 years and retires, nor the local town Little League Coach that has touched so many lives. They are "role models", not "heroes".
