Truman Road

Truman Road, Truman, or 15th Street is a major west/east road that runs in Kansas City, Missouri from Broadway Boulevard & I-670 to the Independence, Missouri border line. It is named after Harry S. Truman, the 33rd U.S. President and continues into his hometown Independence. Truman Road was originally called Van Horn Road for Robert T. Van Horn. He was elected Kansas City mayor for three terms in 1861, 1863, and 1864.
