Truden (Italian: Trodena; German: Truden; Archaic (1122AD): Trodene) is a comune (municipality) in the province of Bolzano-Bozen in the Italian region Trentino-Alto Adige/Südtirol, located about 35 km northeast of the city of Trento and about 20 km south of the city of Bolzano. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 984 and an area of 20.7 km².[1]

The municipality of Truden contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Fontanefredde, Molini di Trodena, and San Lugano.

Truden borders the following municipalities: Aldein (Aldino), Altrei (Anterivo), Capriana, Carano, and Montan (Montagna).
