Trud (Tpyд in Russian, meaning "labour") is one of Russia’s largest-circulation daily newspapers. It is centrist, and owned largely by Gazprom.
It was established on 19 February 1921 as the mouthpiece for the Soviet Labor Unions. It emphasized labor and economic analyses and included other official decrees and orders. By 1990, it attracted the world's largest circulation (21,500,000), a fact inscribed in the Guinness Book of Records. After the break of Soviet Union, it has lost much of it's auditory. By 2007, it has the circulation of 1,580,000, according to their website.
