Talk:TruePic

I can see grounds for marking this as spam in the first paragraph, and I will rewrite it. In my opinion, the other three are of a technical nature. I will, however, take another look at them and remove anything that makes them sound advertorial. --Optomaniac 18:30, 30 July 2007 (UTC)

I've removed the speedy tag, based on my judgment that you should have more time to fix the article; however, the article still lacks some major aspects. These include: facts from (and citations of) third-party (i.e. not Olympus) descriptions, reviews, and analysis of the TruePic system; an explanation of how the system is different from generic image processing engines, and making it clear what you are comparing (it's unclear if you are comparing the TruePic III with the two previous versions, or the original TruePic with whatever Olympus used before, or...). I'll put the article on my watchlist. Let me know if I can help in digging up sources, or in some other way. Thanks! JesseW, the juggling janitor 19:20, 30 July 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for saving this entry from a speedy removal. I have tried to make the text more technical in content, though I have to admit that finding any reviews that deal specifically with the Olympus image processing engine is pretty hard. Most pages just cite the press release, so they are no good. Even the thorough review of the E-410 at dpreview.com does not mention TruePic in their in-depth review of the noise filter although this is a part of the image processor.
