[edit] Reliable References

I find that the article being tagged 'Articles lacking reliable references', kind of rediculous. Only a small minority of mods projects are ever reviewed by a professional, and even in that case they are rarely reviewed on a page filling article nor do they receive the same level of criticism as a commercial title.

The article TrueCombat: Elite does not contain any major claims and is objective, the information presented can easily be verified by downloading and installing the modification. - 83.255.134.84 11:40, 6 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Moved

I moved this page to reflect the correct title on the official website. It is TrueCombat: Elite, not True Combat: Elite (note the space). — JeremyTalk 04:13, 14 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] History

I added a portion for history, I will hopefull be updting it later, with more details of the earlier versions, and possibly some screenshots. Bilbobaggin3 02:49, 1 October 2006 (UTC)

I removed the 'weaseling' element of the passage as per wikipedia Manual of Style--Pvt Parts 18:31, 2 October 2006 (UTC)
I'm surprised there's no mention of True Combat, the older mod for Quake 3 Arena. 207.112.71.9 23:40, 10 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] External links

Since it's policy that Wikipedia is not a links directory and a guideline (Wikipedia:External links) that only select, highly-relevant links should be included at all, I have removed all the fansite and league links. — Saxifrage 22:46, 15 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Question

I was under the impression SPECOPS meant SPecial OPERATIONS —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 71.145.190.143 (talk) 22:19, 13 May 2007 (UTC).

Special Operations ForceS
It actually does stand for Special Operations. The word forces isn't part of the abbreviation. "Special Operations Forces" is properly shortened to "SOF". 207.112.71.9 23:45, 10 October 2007 (UTC)
