Trowbridge Town F.C. are a football club based in Trowbridge, Wiltshire, England. They are currently members of the Hellenic Football League Division One West.

[edit] History

Trowbridge Town was established in 1880 and were founding members of the Bristol & District League (now Western Football League) in 1892. They won the Western Football League 4 times in their history. Beginning in 1958, they played in the Southern League and eventually joined the Alliance Premier League in 1981, playing there for three seasons. However, with declining performances they found themselves in back in the lower tier of the Southern League and they folded after the 1997-98 season. Quickly reformed, the club joined the Wiltshire League and gained promotion to the Premier Division at first attempt. After four seasons in the Premier, they were promoted to the Hellenic League.

[edit] National cup accomplishments

They have also reached the First Round Proper of the FA Cup 4 times in their history, most recently during the 1963-64 season when they fell 6-1 to Coventry City. They have never advanced past the 1st round of the FA Trophy in numerous attempts, however, in 1990-91, they reached the semifinals of the FA Vase.
