Trouble (Cat Stevens song)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
"Trouble" is a popular song by Cat Stevens. The song first appeared on his 1970 album Mona Bone Jakon and later in the film Harold and Maude, for which Cat Stevens provided the soundtrack.
The song was featured on an episode of ER in which Dr. John Carter and Abby Lockhart travel to Kansas to retrieve Abby's unstable mother. It was also seen on the television show Alias when Sydney reveals her spy status to her fiance Danny which eventually leads to his death.
Many artists have covered the song, including Elliott Smith (on the soundtrack to Thumbsucker), both Anthony Kiedis and John Frusciante of Red Hot Chili Peppers and Eddie Vedder of Pearl Jam. The Athens, Georgia jamband Widespread Panic has performed "Trouble" live since 1989. A live performance version from the band's July 20, 2002 concert appears on the DVD Live from the Backyard.
The song is also used in the 2006 film A Guide to Recognizing Your Saints. An alleged cover version circulating on the internet often found on file sharing sites such as Ares/Limewire claims to be by Oasis, however no such cover was recorded. The vocals sound like Fran Healy of Travis, however.
