[edit] Events

The city is known for its season markets, Trosa Market in the summer and the Christmas and Harvest market during fall and winter. Every year these events attracts thousands of people. During those events there is usually also a small amusement park set up in the harbour.

[edit] Tourism

During the summer the municipality's population increases from 10 000 to 45 000[citation needed]. Trosa is also a popular city to go to for yachtspeople or other holiday makers.

Within the municipality there are four churches; of those the church in Trosa rural parish is from the 13th century; Västerljung's Church is also from the medieval age; and the Trosa church is one of few 18th century churches in the area.

[edit] Today

Trosa is a popular place to visit in the summer. Part due to the municipal archipelago, and partly because the town itself is picturesque. One can stroll by the stream Trosaån through central Trosa, seeing its small wooden houses.
