Tropical Storm Dora

The name Dora has been used for two tropical cyclones in the Atlantic Ocean, and five tropical cyclones in the Eastern Pacific Ocean. It was used in the Atlantic before the formal naming system was instituted; though it was later retired in the Atlantic, it remains on the Pacific list. It has also been used for one cyclone in the Southwest Indian Ocean.
Atlantic:
- 1956's Tropical Storm Dora - short-lived tropical storm that moved across the southern Bay of Campeche; caused 27 deaths
- 1964's Hurricane Dora - only hurricane to date to strike Jacksonville, Florida; caused $280 million ($1.5 billion in 2000 dollars) damage.
Pacific:
- 1981's Hurricane Dora
- 1987's Tropical Storm Dora
- 1993's Hurricane Dora
- 1999's Hurricane Dora
- 2005's Tropical Storm Dora - moved parallel to the Mexican coast near Acapulco, caused no damage
