Tropical Fish Hobbyist

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Tropical Fish Hobbyist (TFH) is a monthly magazine published by TFH Publications since 1953.[1] The magazine serves aquarists with news and information on topics including care and maintenance, aquascaping, husbandry, species reports, aquarium technology, aquarium science, exploration, and collecting.

The magazine has two question and answer departments (one for freshwater fish and the other for marine fish) as well as regular columns. Currently these columns include "Ask Jack", "Cichlidophiles", "Livebearers Unlimited", "The Planted Tank", "Catfish Corner", "Skeptical Fishkeeper", "Top of the Food Chain", "Salt Creep", and "The Reefer". Many fish-related businesses advertise in the magazine, and a classified section is included for private transactions and events.

TFH had an average circulation of 22,600 issues per month in first half of 2007.[2].
