Trommald is a city in Crow Wing County, Minnesota, United States. The population was 125 at the 2000 census.
Trommald was founded as a mining town on the western end of the Cuyuna Range, just north of Ironton.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 3.9 square miles (10.2 km²), of which, 3.7 square miles (9.6 km²) of it is land and 0.2 square miles (0.6 km²) of it (5.85%) is water.

As of the census[1] of 2000, there were 125 people, 47 households, and 28 families residing in the city. The population density was 33.8 people per square mile (13.0/km²). There were 52 housing units at an average density of 14.0/sq mi (5.4/km²). The racial makeup of the city was 97.60% White, 0.80% Native American, and 1.60% from two or more races.
There were 47 households out of which 38.3% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 53.2% were married couples living together, 2.1% had a female householder with no husband present, and 40.4% were non-families. 31.9% of all households were made up of individuals and 6.4% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.66 and the average family size was 3.50.
In the city the population was spread out with 31.2% under the age of 18, 8.0% from 18 to 24, 31.2% from 25 to 44, 21.6% from 45 to 64, and 8.0% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 34 years. For every 100 females there were 127.3 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 126.3 males.
The median income for a household in the city was $21,500, and the median income for a family was $42,083. Males had a median income of $43,333 versus $18,750 for females. The per capita income for the city was $14,714. There were 9.7% of families and 16.0% of the population living below the poverty line, including 8.5% of under eighteens and 18.2% of those over 64.
