The idea pulsed radiofrequency instead of heat based radiofrequency denervation was conceived by prof. Menno Sljuter(sic) unfortunately i cannot recall the exact spelling of his last name.

MEDLINE AND MEDICAL ARTICLES OFTEN REQ SUBSCRIPTIONS

A search of MEDLINE or PUBMED should explain radiofrequency treatment for pain as well as have all the articles if you are a subscriber.

Further, a serarch of google on Dr. Trond Stokke or Dr. Stokke Norway will yield a number of more popular references such as newspaper articles about him. If in doubt that they are about him, he has a picture of himself on www.drstokke.no such that you may compare as many articles have his picture, just in case you do not happen to speak any of the scandinavian languages.

Awareness of the problem of chronic pain is important, recently the new york times published an article about how doctors afraid of addicting patients instead left them suffering beyond belief. *comment, what is the danger of becoming addicted if you have four months, etc...

[edit] Notability

This needs some references but I can see a lot of possible google scholar hits, 1 news article (Aftenposten - Apr 5, 2005, not in english unfortunately), and possibly more scholarly articles - Peripitus (Talk) 05:27, 20 November 2007 (UTC)
