[edit] JMU Wikipedian Category
I just created a Wikipedians by alma mater: James Madison University category, and am hoping to get current and past Dukes in there. Hoping you'll categorize your user page into it. Schuminweb 04:25, 14 August 2005 (UTC)

[edit] User Categorization
Hello! We are working on a new system that will categorize the users. Please take a moment to move your user page into the category Category:Wikipedians in Virginia and removing your name from the Wikipedia:Wikipedians/Virginia page.
To add your name to the category, please use the tag [[Category:Wikipedians in Viginia|Trlovejoy]] to sort yourself correctly.

[edit] Sorting of "Famous Alumni" on JMU article
I am hoping you'll join in the discussion on sorting the "Famous Alumni" list in the James Madison University article. See Talk:James Madison University for the discussion thread. The basic idea is whether to sort by name or graduation year. SchuminWeb (Talk) 03:50, 22 January 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Mediation
A request for mediation has been made on the article James Madison University, which you have a record as an editor on. I have taken on the mediation for this dispute. Please make any comments on [This page.]
Please try to remain civil during this process, and I hope we will be able to have a resolution as soon as possible. Any participants are asked to comment within seven days (i.e. before Monday 6th March, 2006).
Thank You. Cameronian 16:35, 26 February 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:CISAT.gif)
|
Thanks for uploading Image:CISAT.gif. I notice the 'image' page currently specifies that your image can be used under a fair use license. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If your image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why your image was deleted. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Shyam (T/C) 09:16, 8 March 2006 (UTC)
[edit] JMU Userbox
I just thought I'd let you know that a JMU userbox now exists at Template:User JMU. Just add {{User JMU}} to your user page to add it in. SchuminWeb (Talk) 13:12, 28 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Non-free use disputed for Image:Rtdheader.gif
This file may be deleted. |
Thanks for uploading Image:Rtdheader.gif. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read carefully the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content and then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our Criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 10:30, 6 June 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Unspecified source for Image:City_logo_small.gif
Thanks for uploading Image:City_logo_small.gif. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.
As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 21:52, 15 June 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. — pd_THOR | =/\= | 21:52, 15 June 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Orphaned non-free image (Image:JMUDukeDogLogo.jpg)
Thanks for uploading Image:JMUDukeDogLogo.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. fuzzy510 18:46, 7 July 2007 (UTC)
[edit] DC Meetup notice
Greetings. There is going to be a Washington DC Wikipedia meetup on next Saturday, July 21st at 5pm in DC. Since you are listed in Category:Wikipedians_in_Virginia, I thought I'd invite you to come. I'm sorry about the short notice for the meeting. Hopefully we'll do somewhat better in that regard next time. If you can't come but want to make sure that you are informed of future meetings be sure to list yourself under "but let me know about future events", and if you don't want to get any future direct notices \(like this one\), you can list yourself under "I'm not interested in attending any others either" on the DC meetup page.--Gmaxwell 22:07, 14 July 2007 (UTC)
