I know, I just wanted to start a new article.Triple-Quadruple 01:33, 13 June 2006 (UTC)
- My deletion was withough prejudice for a full article being recreated, for info on starting a workable stub article, please see this page for what is generally considered the minimum an article needs. The "how to write a great article" linked above has more helpful information as well. — xaosflux Talk 01:40, 13 June 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Hollaback Girl
Hi there. I was adding categories to Hollaback Girl earlier and just realized that Category: Diss songs had been removed. I'm a little confused as to why you took it off. The category is for "songs insulting people", and "Hollaback Girl" certainly seems to be insulting Courtney Love. For example, Stefani said about the song, "So I said 'well f*** you, I am a cheerleader, watch me on stage. I'm gonna make a big cheerleader song and you can f*** off.'" ShadowHalo 23:22, 17 January 2007 (UTC)
It's not in the hip-hop music genre completely.Triple-Quadruple 01:17, 18 January 2007 (UTC)
- I don't understand what you mean. Category:Diss songs has nothing to do with genre. The criterion is that the song's purpose is "verbally assaulting and insulting a person or a group of people". ShadowHalo 05:47, 21 January 2007 (UTC)
- I'm going to bring the question to Talk:Hollaback Girl. If you have further comments, I encourage you to post them there. ShadowHalo 05:50, 21 January 2007 (UTC)
It's in pop, and it's not made for harassing Courtney Love, if so, there would be more disses.Triple-Quadruple 22:16, 21 January 2007 (UTC)
- I'm still unsure as to why the genre makes a difference. "How Do You Sleep?" and "Sweet Home Alabama" are rock songs, even further removed from rap, though they're certainly considered diss songs. Plus, the very refrain itself is essentially saying that she's going to beat up Courtney Love. That definitely seems verbally insulting. If you'd like me to point out other examples in the lyrics, I can. ShadowHalo 19:43, 26 January 2007 (UTC)
- If you don't mind, I'd like to copy this discussion to the talk page so we can get a third opinion. ShadowHalo 00:24, 30 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] I must agree
Mortal Kombat pwns Street Fighter. Even KI pwns Street Fighter!
Maybe there should be a game that would combine the best fighting games
Everyone vs. Everyone maybe?
