[edit] Respons to R-400 Oka

Fair enough, I should have done my research better. Nice find.

[edit] Revert of a "vandalism" edit to R-400 Oka

From http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/INF_Treaty : "The treaty eliminated nuclear and conventional ground-launched ballistic and cruise missiles with ranges of 500 to 5,500 kilometers (300-3,400 miles)." From http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/R-400_Oka :

   * the Standard missile 9M714V armed with the AA-60 (9N63) nuclear warhead. Maximum range is 480 km.
   * the 9M714F missile armed with a FRAG-HE warhed weighing 450 kg. Maximum range is 450 km.
   * the 9M714K missile armed with a submunitions warhead weighing 715 kg. Maximum range is 300 km."

Either one (or both) of the two articles is incorrect or incomplete. My edit of changing the line "The Oka's operational life was short because its range exceeded the limits imposed by the INF Treaty between the United States and the Soviet Union." seems to have been correct, as the articles demonstrate that the Oka DID NOT violate the INF. The OKA did not violate the INF treaty, but was withdrawn as a political concession, which is a contention made by the TV show "Smotr", which airs on NTV on Sundays. I will not revert the page to my edit, as I do not have a citable print source., but I believe you were wrong in changing my edit. If you want to continue this discussion, my user name is klebs89 (I didnt realize i wasn't logged in when I made the edit) .

I suggest that either that line is removed, as it seems to be incorrect, or the INF and/or Oka articles are fixed with citable sources.

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:SS-23 Spider SRBM.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:SS-23 Spider SRBM.jpg. The image description page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

[edit] New Iraqi Army

I noticed that you have erased some of the older facts and figures in the article (such as the 13 week training period). If things have been struckout in the article, it is because those numbers used to be true but are no longer up to date. Keeping a record of what happened is especially important in an article like this one, where facts are hard to come by and frequently changing. Having followed Iraqi Army documents for awhile, I know that the most recent reports and numbers aren't always the most reliable so its good to keep a record of everything that has happened. Thanks--Hypo 02:26, 22 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Orphaned non-free media (Image:Brotherhood of Nod small.png)

Thanks for uploading Image:Brotherhood of Nod small.png. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 12:08, 6 May 2008 (UTC)
