The name was revived and was became use in the municipality that was first created in 1835 it added Erymanthia in the 1840s. It was dissolved in 1912 and revived in 1998 under the Capodistrian Plan. Several of its inhabits moved to its neighborhood known as Psarofai in southeast central Patras in the 1960s, several others also went abroad.
