Tristes Tigres (sad tigers) formed in 2002 by singers, rappers, producers and dj:s influenced mainly by caribbean music such as reggaeton, soca and dancehall but also of urban music like hiphop and house. The group consisted of Pato and Miguel La Bamba and of producers Masse and Salla that were also members of the legendary Swedish rap group The Latin Kings. In 2005 the debut single entitled "Ya no te puedo amar" was released in a digital form. The group also performed as DJ:s and crowdhypers at clubs all over the world and gained a reputation as "pioneers of reggaeton" because of their ambition to spread the puertorican music to clubs in northern Europe. After years of releasing mixtapes and working the clubs, the group started working internationally with artists from Puerto Rico and other countries.
Patrik "Pato" Bolling Ferrel was tragically killed in Stockholm on the 7 th of november in 2007.
