Tristan Rogers (born June 3, 1946 in Melbourne, Australia) is an Australian-American actor.

He is most well known for his long stretch in the role of WSB agent Robert Scorpio on the popular soap opera General Hospital, from December 1980 until June 1992. He has also done voiceover work representing Outback Steakhouse,[1] Foster's Lager, Reebok, Epson, and others.[2].Also voiced Jake the kangaroo mouse in The Rescuers Down Under

His years spent on General Hospital came as a result of the monumentally huge story arc of Luke and Laura, whose wedding captured one of the biggest audiences in television history. Rogers came on board as an agent of the WSB (World Security Bureau) much like the CTU of today's 24 with Kiefer Sutherland.

Rogers played this character, Robert Scorpio, for the duration of his time on the show. His death in a boating explosion along with "wife" Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) (the body was never found; Anna soon turned up alive on All My Children) was a sad moment for many fans.

He returned for a few well-received episodes in 1995 as a spirit to comfort his daughter, Robin Scorpio (Kimberly McCullough) who was dealing with the loss of her boyfriend Stone Cates (Michael Sutton) to AIDS and was herself suffering from being HIV positive.

In late January 2006, Robert returned to Port Charles to try and stave off the onset of a deadly encephalitis epidemic that his old pal Luke accidentally transported to the mainland from overseas. Upon his awkward reunion with Robin, he explained that the WSB threatened to kill her and an amnesiac Anna unless he agreed to assist in staging his own death.

He had spent the last dozen or so years in the "Black Ops," a division of the WSB that dealt with evil in less than honorable manners. While Robert and Luke failed to find the mastermind who released the virus, they were able to obtain the antidote from Robert's wife Holly Scorpio (Emma Samms)

After six weeks, Robert left once again, returned in April 2006 as a recurring cast member (he was not on contract), but departed again in November, 2006.

Tristan most recently starred in the CINE award-winning short, "Opportunity Knocks" portraying Death himself. Co-Produced by Aaron Wells and Suzanne Niedland, there are plans to develop the short into a feature-length film. Tristan has taken the lead recently in the soap industry, calling for an evolution of the medium in light of it's dwindling audience. An active proponent of the entertainment industry's expansion onto the internet, Tristan is producing his own web-based talk show.
