Trisha Donnelly

Trisha Donnelly (born April 22, 1974) is a conceptual artist living and working in San Francisco, CA. She works with various media including photography, drawing, audio, video, sculpture and performance.
Donnelly received a B.F.A. from the University of California in Los Angeles in 1995 and an M.F.A. from Yale University in 2000. For her first solo show in New York, at Casey Kaplan Gallery in 2002, Donnelly staged a "demonstration" on the opening night in which she rode into the crowded gallery on a horse and voiced a cryptic declaration of defeat or surrender. In 2007, Donnelly participated with Matthew Barney, Liam Gillick and Carsten Höller, et al, in [Il Tempo del Postino] an Opera curated by Hans Ulrich Obrist at The Opera House in Manchester, UK.
Donnelly teaches in the New Genres department at San Francisco Art Institute.
