Triprayar

Thriprayar is located south-west of Thrissur City, in the middle of Guruvayur - Kodungallur Highway (NH 17), bears a magnificent temple to Sri Rama which is associated with many interesting legends.

The Triprayar temple was originally under the domain of the Zamorin rulers of Kerala. It later came under the possession of the Dutch, the Mysore sultans and the rulers of Cochin.

Triprayar is centered around the Sri Rama temple. It is the only Rama temple which has a river adjacent to it.
Triprayar is about 23 km away from Guruvayoor Sri Krishna temple and 30 km away from Irinjalakuda temple via Katoor, Edamuttam etc. Kodungallur Town is 24 km away.
