[edit] History
Home to many well-known British wrestlers, Triple X offered fans straight up wrestling, violence and comical antics. It's strictly considered an adult product, though children may usually attend at their parents discretion, depending on the ruling for the specific event.
Triple X Wrestling held their first show on 9 April 2006 at the Tam O'Shanter Burns Club in Coventry, entitled "Third Times The Charm". They subsequently moved from the Tam O'Shanter Burns Club to Jumpin Jaks in Coventry, next to SkyDome Arena, a venue that's been home to many professional wrestling events itself.
In November 2006, Stiro represented Triple X Wrestling in the British Under 23's Championship tournament. The tournament showcased wrestlers from all over the United Kingdom who were under the age of twenty-three. Each wrestler represented what would be considered their "home promotion". Stiro fought to a no contest with Marty Scurll, after interference from two of "The Hated Heroes" (Aviv Maayan and L.T Summers). Chris Stone was also on the show in a non-tournament four-way elimination contest, which determined the #1 contender to the British Under 23's Championship. Alongside Chris, the match featured El Ligero, Charlie Rage, and Chris Recall. That night, Chris was representing his other regular promotion, Leicester Pro Wrestling, but did not manage to pick up the win. The afternoon card featured a Triple X Wrestling guest match, which pitted Zack Sabre Jr & Jimmy Havoc against the monstrous duo of Jekkel & Exodus, who emerged victorious.
On August 12, 2007, Triple X Wrestling made a mini invasion of fellow Midlands promotion Leicester Pro Wrestling. While many of the Triple X roster wrestled for Leicester Pro Wrestling on a regular basis, the invasion included several who did not. Jimmy Havoc went up against Jekkel for the LPW British Iron Man Championship, in a match where Jekkel managed to retain his title. Zack Sabre Jr beat Ashton Smith via submission, in a rematch from "Chop Him In The Valentines". The main event saw Omer Ibrahim pin then LPW Champion Andy Shoes in a non-title contest.[1]
Their twelfth show was canceled with promoter Quentin Hyde-Styles citing burn-out and financial constraints.[2]
