[edit] Ideology
Triosphere was formed in 2004 in Trondheim, Norway, by lead guitarist Marcus Silver and bassist/vocalist Ida "Pico" Haukland. Their goal was to put together a band with the strength, focus and determination to make their musical ambitions a reality.
After being in various bands and experiencing the problems related to line up changes it was also important for them to find people that they knew would become a unity to make up a monster that would last. Consequently, they spent almost 6 months searching all over Norway to find the right people to complete what was to become Triosphere.
During the fall of 2004, the last pieces of the newborn metal machinery was put into place by the skilled drummer Ørjan "Hurricane" Jørgensen and guitarist Christer Harøy. The band now consisted of four musicians who were all well experienced both on stage and in studio. To see if the line up would work as a unit, they hit the studio after only a week of rehearsing together. The result of that session became the bands first demo, which also resulted in an international record deal.
In an attempt to describe the music, one could say it is a mix of all of the members' different influences, it can be described as modern heavy metal with a strong focus on melody, fast and energetic guitar work complimented by pounding and technical drumming. This, combined with unique and incredibly strong female vocals gives the band a unique sound that they hope will catch the attention of the world's metal hearts.
During September 2006, Triosphere has been a supporting act for W.A.S.P. on the Norwegian of their European Tour. After the tour, Triosphere began shooting their 1st video, Onwards part 2 from the album Onwards.
Marcus Silver was formally the lead guitarist of the band Griffin. He can be seen in the video The Sentence and the home made video which features Alexi Laiho of Children of Bodom and Sinergy. Marcus Silver was endorsed by ESP guitars on his earlier days and currently using Amfisound custom made guitars. His silverized guitar is featured as the Spotlight Gallery.
