Trinity Catholic High School is a Roman Catholic high school in Newton, Massachusetts. It is located in the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Boston. The school is a co-educational and college preparatory school founded in 1894. Trinity Catholic High School serves 292 students drawn from 48 communities across the Greater Boston area. The student body represents in excess of 60 ethnic backgrounds and is 50% minority.[citation needed] The majority of the Trinity Catholic faculty holds advanced degrees in secondary education or their specific discipline.[citation needed] The student/faculty ratio is approximately 1:14.[citation needed] In 2002, the school staged a production of the musical Jesus Christ Superstar that gained wide acclaim from the local community.
