Trikarpur is a village in the northern part of the state of Kerala, India, south of the Kasargod district. Trikarpur Panchayath is composed of North and South Trikarpur villages. It became part of Kerala with that state's formation on November 1, 1956.

From the beginning until now, Trikarpur Panchayath is ruled by U.D.F. Indian Union Muslim League is the major political party of this panchyath. Many political parties are working in this panchayath are Congress, CPI, CPI(M), Janadal and BJP. The area is famous for it's ritual artforms like theyamm and for its communal harmony.

The name Trikarpur derives from "Thiru Karipuram". It is believed that the famous "Gajendra Moksha" which is stated in "Shri Bhagavatham" happened at Trikarpur. This story is related to the "Sree Chakrapani Temple". The name Thiru Karipuram is then changed in to TrikariPur. "Lord Parasurama" built this temple.

Trikarpur is famous for the communal harmony. The population consists of Hindus, Muslims and Christians. The main holy places are Beerichery Juma Masjid (a very ancient mosque in Kasaragod district), Sree Chakrapani Temple, Town Juma Masjid, Thiruvambadi Temple, Udinur Sri Kshetrapalaka Khethram, St.Pauls Church and Eyakadu Ayyappa Temple.
