Tri-State Tomahawks

The Tri-State Tomahawks were a professional minor league baseball team located in the Ashland, Kentucky metro area. They were an original member of the independent Frontier League in 1993, folding 11 games into the season due to lackluster attendance, often contributed to the untested nature of independent leagues, and nearby competition from teams such as Huntington, and the West Virginia Coal Sox.
