Have changed title from Tristan and Isolde to what is listed on the screen Tristan + Isolde. --23:06, 12 March 2006 (UTC)Chickenspanker

No, the official name is Tristan & Isolde. See http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0375154/board/flat/39575188?d=39575188#39575188 — Gulliver 02:56, 29 March 2006 (UTC)
Perhaps it could be listed as an alternative title? --Brian1979 10:50, 27 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] POV?

"Despite the poor financial reception, and poor to mixed critical reception, the film has established somewhat of a cult status, with the film very much favoured by general moviegoers."

I think this bit should be deleted as it seems POV and "the film has established somewhat of a cult status, with the film very much favoured by general moviegoers" will be difficult to impossible to cite as it seems just an opinion.--Brian1979 10:55, 27 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Tagline

Is the tagline grammatically correct? Should it not be "there were" instead of "there was"? --mrp 30/4/06

I don't think so. The phrase "Tristan and Isolde" doesn't mean, "the two people called Tristan and Isolde". It means, "the story whose title is Tristan and Isolde". Since there is only one story, the subject of the verb is a singular noun and so the verb conjugates in the singular.
By the same token, the phrase Joe's windows is open can be grammatically correct if there is a man called Joe who has a shop that sells windows (called Joe's windows) and if that shop is currently open. --Oscar Bravo 06:54, 15 May 2006 (UTC)
That is correct. What's the difficulty? --216.208.52.49 20:06, 19 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Tristan1.jpg

Image:Tristan1.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
