Talk:Triple-elimination tournament
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I started the topic not because I know anything about these tournaments but because I'm hoping that someone does. In particular, is it possible to have a sensible arrangement in brackets like a double elimination tournament? (see diagram) If so, what's the format for the semis and final in the top bracket. Thanks very much. ;-D Ferdinangus 15:20, 28 March 2007 (UTC)
- Hi. Yes, it's possible to illustrate a triple-elimination tournament (or any number) using a bracket diagram. I added a bracket diagram to the article (in the Pros And Cons section).

[edit] Evolving Structure variation
Ferdinangus, I think what you're starting to say in the 'Conducting a triple elimination' section should go into the Variations section as another type of variation. A style of tournament in which the bracket structure changes as the tournament progresses is quite a different beast from the usual fixed structure.
