Talk:Triominoes

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A copyright for the packaging or game itself may have been renewed in 1997, but the game has been around longer than that. I own a version from the mid-1980s and played it then as well. I believe our version has a hypen & an "e" in the name: "Tri-ominoes". Mooveeguy 21:24, 22 August 2006 (UTC)

dominos come in double6 double9 double12 and double 15

the description mentions 56 tiles out of possible 76 counter clockwise (this is 0 to 5 spots)

i see pictures of triominos sets in 20 the set is 0 to 3 Faster game ? kidde set? travel small board?

one box says 84 tiles, spots are 0 to 6

there is probably a 0-4 set too

there are sets with dots and numerals(arabic usually) how to tell 6 from 9 ona BIG set? some are dark wood some light wood Plastic ones are Pressman(C) English

so how are they generated? and how many are there? are there left and right rotations ie 123 <> 321 ? is this rotation the reason for 56 of the 76? Petetyj (talk) 15:46, 6 February 2008 (UTC)

heres a run of trinomo tiles and spots

  • spots . . tiles . . tiles if rotations make distinct tiles
  • 0 - 3 . . 20 . . 24
  • 0 - 4 . . 35 . . 45
  • 0 - 5 . . 56 . . 76
  • 0 - 6 . . 84 . . 119
  • 0 - 7 . . 120 . . 176
  • 0 - 8 . . 165 . . 249

I just found dominos are sold in double 18 I saw a picture of set of triomonos with the 84 tile version I had a set years ago probably pressman.. dominos(biminos) are a lot more popular.
