Talk:Triad
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
at least the search engine should lead to here first not to the "chinese cartel" page.
[edit] Items removed from the main page
- "* In mathematics, a left-handed triad or right-handed triad is a set of orthogonal co-ordinate axis." -- removed because the links were non-existing red-links. Rather than creating those pages (although they should probably be redirects), I think this sense should be merged into a Triad (mathematics) page -- but since no-one has written such a page yet, I'm removing it from this disambig page until someone does.
- "* Iamblichus, a Greek philosopher referred to the triad as as number that "has a special beauty and fairness beyond all numbers"." -- this is not a meaning of the word triad, just a description of what one person said about, I think, the Triad (symbol). It could be moved to that page.
- "*A localised grouping of gods in Egyptian mythology" -- while this may be correct, it needs to be explained better before it makes sense to put on a disambig page.
- "*A grouping of three" -- I rephrased this, and moved it up to the top of the page as the central meaning, which it is.
- "*The traditional strategic triad of strategic defense is ICBM, SLBM, strategic bomber" -- this is not a disambig, this is a definition; maybe it could be turned into one, though...
