[edit] Edits by 75.21.227.235
While most of the edits made by 75.21.227.235 were informative, I've removed the following sentence from the Stacking section: "The system of imformation which has been developed by TEAM's leadership has proven to be the difference in lasting results. TEAM's method of building organizations has been a success since the TEAM began in 1999." This is not encyclopedic content, and reads as an advertisement. For this sentence to remain in the article, some elaboration on how TEAM's system differs from traditional stacking must be provided, in addition to some statistics to back TEAM's claim of success (seeing as TEAM members are told not to share information about how much money they make).
Again, most of the other edits were constructive, though no sources were cited. If 75.21.227.235 could provide some sources, it would be appreciated. Trevor Bekolay 19:24, 6 August 2007 (UTC)
Some information on this entry: TEAM has recently been suspended by Quixtar. This resulted in numerous law suits (15 by last count) launched in America, as well as one public relations website being created by a PR firm on instruction from TEAM. The squabble has degenerated into an ugly PR war waged over various blogs run by Quixtar, TEAM, and independent IBO's (e.g. www.thetruthaboutamway.com).
Please keep the war from spilling over into WIKIPEDIA, which is why I posted this here, and not on the "user pages" 196.14.90.178 14:59, 7 September 2007 (UTC)
[edit] LDSP
I deleted uses of the abbreviation "LDSP", as it seems not so common. Even the term "leadership development service provider" seems not commonly used to refer to some category of companies. I am not completely sure what are the Wikpedia guidelines in this matter. WP:ACRONYM is not so clear about it. --Knverma 08:40, 5 October 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Clean-up
In response to the current call for deletion, I have gone through a removed some sections that were not encyclopedic content. Below are some possibly controversial snippets that I removed and why I removed them.
- Removed: "TEAM, is a leadership development service provider designed to help individuals learn leadership principles."
- Reason: In incorrect section (has nothing to do with name and terminology)
- Removed: "Since it started in 1999, TEAM has been joined by several Lines of Sponsorship affiliated with Quixtar, including organizations led by Billy Florence, Chuck Goetschel, and Randy Haughen. Today thousands of IBO leaders and Lines of Sponsorship make up the organization known as TEAM."
- Reason: No sources cited, the term 'joined' in very ambiguous. Did they amalgamate their companies?
- Removed: "much the same as other educational organizations operating on the internet"
- Reason: Sounds like justification of selling products, which is unnecessary. Companies sell stuff.
