Invalid AIV report
Thank you for making a report about 198.237.47.196 (talk · contribs · block log) on Wikipedia:Administrator intervention against vandalism. Reporting and removing vandalism is vital to the functioning of Wikipedia and all users are encouraged to revert, warn, and report vandalism. However, administrators are generally only able to block users if they have received a recent final warning (one that mentions that the user may be blocked) and they have recently vandalized after that warning was given. The reported user has not yet been blocked because it appears this has not occurred yet. If this user continues to vandalize even after their final warning, please report them to the AIV noticeboard again. The last warning for this IP was in February 1, so those warnings on this school IP are considered too old. Generally, final warnings must be less than 48 hours old to be valid on IP addresses, especially school IPs like this one. Jesse Viviano 01:22, 20 March 2007 (UTC)
Image copyright problem with Image:WP-CartoonNetwork.png
Thanks for uploading Image:WP-CartoonNetwork.png. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

Your nomination of Squirepants
I just saw your nomination of Squirepants into WP:CN. I already invited him into the project but I don't think he'll reply. Try someone like DietLimeCoke. Driveus
Cartoon network image
Hi, this image falls under fair use since it's a derivative work, so it has to pass our (new name) non-free content criteria. Which means it can only be used on articles (if it passes the other criteria). Since this image was only used on talk and user pages why would you want to reupload the image? Btw, instead of reuploading I can always undelete the image for you if there is good reason to do so. Garion96 (talk) 20:39, 21 April 2007 (UTC)
- I'm unsure if it can be undeleted given it's derivative and it's only use is in a template for a WikiProject. I created this because there was a non-free version used before it was removed from it and now I can't tell if it's OK for use in templates alone. The criteria that I want it to be used for is as a free version of a logo so it can be used openly, does the image pass if I allow it into the public domain? --treelo talk 20:51, 21 April 2007 (UTC)
- You can't release it (under any license) since you don't own the rights to it. However, it also is not really needed. See this edit. Garion96 (talk) 21:07, 21 April 2007 (UTC)
- I was following precedent of this image [1] which was OK for use and felt I could use my image under the same reasoning too. It might seem unnecessary but I'd rather an image than the alternative which currently exists which was created as a stop-gap between when a new image could be acquired. It doesn't make sense to me that an image which was made by myself is not permitted to be used but another similar image which is in use can be. Can you explain why it doesn't pass as freely usable but someone else's does because it's confusing me and it'll help me make a more freely usable image. --treelo talk 21:21, 21 April 2007 (UTC)
- Because, in my opinion, there is a big difference between Image:Logo nickelodeon.gif and Image:Open Use Nick Logo.gif. But the difference between your image and Image:CN logo.svg is not so big. Same font, colours etc. I really prefer the normal CN like it is now in Template:Cartoon Network. Garion96 (talk) 22:00, 21 April 2007 (UTC)

- That's just some text someone formatted in and I hate it. Anyway, the reasoning for keeping it deleted is mere opinion and I'd argue that their image also falls foul of it being too close (only difference being the font) but I can't see anyway to get it undeleted given that someone else will say it's too close to the original. If I upload one which doesn't bare so much resemblance to the original but can be attributable to the logo as the Nick free use one is, would it fly? I want to run it by someone more knowledgeable in this area than myself you see! --treelo talk 23:04, 21 April 2007 (UTC)
- So what if it's text? It serves its purpose, it identify's cartoon network which is all it needs to do. Anything you make will probably be closer to the original and therefore higher chance of a copyright violation. Garion96 (talk) 09:53, 22 April 2007 (UTC)

- I call foul on the reasons why any idea I create wouldn't fly but yet theirs was fine, you seem determined to make the deletion stick through your own opinion alone so I won't go against it any further because you're clearly working hard against me. Thanks for your input nonetheless, you're a good guy and make Wikipedia better. --treelo talk 13:19, 23 April 2007 (UTC)
- Not just my opinion when looking at the (already removed) discussion at WP:PUI were the image was listed. But thank you for the compliment. Garion96 (talk) 13:40, 23 April 2007 (UTC)

Assistance for Cartoon Network Wikiproject
Thanks for the invite, but I don't think I'm your guy. The only CN show I know anything about or care anything about is Ed, Edd n Eddy. Why not ask User:DietLimeCola who seems to be interested in most of their shows? -- Elaich 19:59, 13 May 2007 (UTC)
Template issues
{helpme}
Hello whomever picks this up, I'm looking for assistance with Template:Cartoon Network. My knowledge of parser functions is patchy at best and require someone who's capable of adding new classes for list-type articles, other templates associated with the project and adding the code for handling importance levels. --treelo talk 15:57, 24 May 2007 (UTC)
- It doesn't look like anyone with enough template expertise is around right now. I recommend that you ask at the Help desk or Pump tech with full details of what changes you want done.--Commander Keane 16:44, 24 May 2007 (UTC)
Edits on page.
With regards to my edits on the List of characters from My Gym Partner's a Monkey page, you seem to be taking it very seriously. I guess this is why you had my IP address sanctioned. Anyway, I'll be more reasonable with what I would do.
