Silly restoration of GlobalSecurity.Org
This is an abuse of the AFD process, as has been pointed out. The speedy redirect was the fastest safe bold approach; it would have been fine to Prod or Speedy the redirect later. Why restore the article as is? That makes no sense. Georgewilliamherbert 02:42, 18 September 2006 (UTC)
- It does make sense, if you've read my comment: "Note that when you type something in the search bar, it automatically directs you to an article even if the capitalization may be incorrect. For example, typing in wiKIPedia or wikiPEDIA in the search bar will automatically bring you to the Wikipedia page, regardless if no redirect page already exists". Also, I'm not advocating for article to be kept, I'm advocating for it to be deleted
- (also see my reply in AFD). I know the MediaWiki capitalization handling routines, I run a couple of MW websites. My point is that this is an abuse of AFD process, and instead of insisting on continuing to use the AFD process, someone should take proper policy-compliant bold corrective action. The eventual situation should be no second article. The immediate step was to redirect the second article to the first, and the following step should be for someone to Prod or Speedy the redirect. It shouldn't be necessary to even do the redirect step... this should have gone straight to a speedy deletion, or a Prod, but since this was put up for AFD it's considered slightly gauche to speedy it during the debate. So I did the next best thing. Insisting on playing out the AFD process is a waste of time. Georgewilliamherbert 03:03, 18 September 2006 (UTC)

Ace Combat whatever
Hi TBC. You participate a lot in AfD, so I wanted to ask your opinion about this article. It just seems plain wrong to me, more like a useless game timeline, but it does have some contributors and even appears on a template. Nonetheless, I am considering bringing it to AfD. But I would much appreciate if you could have a look on it first and tell me what do you think. Best regards.--Húsönd 01:51, 21 September 2006 (UTC)
- The article looks crufty. I suggest removing the unverified segments, and then merging the rest of the content to the other Ace Combat articles (though you'll have to discuss it on the talk page first). By the way, this may be a bit off topic, but ironically it was I who added the article to the Ace Combat template. Cheers, --TBCTaLk?!? 03:28, 21 September 2006 (UTC)
I have updated my user page
Hey TBC! Thanks for the images. I have done a few small changes to my front page using "Shiny", but not much change. You might get a "kick" out of it. Later - JungleCat talk/contrib 22:25, 21 September 2006 (UTC)
Strive
Dearest Tree Biting Conspiracy, I here by award you the Strive Bannner, for Striving in your template work and for being for me, a constant sourse of mild entertainment. Love, Dfrg.msc 1 . 2 . 3 08:18, 22 September 2006 (UTC)
P.S. Can I have the Dictator Barnstar?
- Right-o, that was very, very, unexpected. Usualy the answer is "Dfr, is that you?" "Look, you just can't keep doing this!" "I've moved on!" "I'm with Craig now!" ect. Cue restraining order. Anyway, perhaps my request was a joke - or perhaps a strict order, it matters not. All that matters is my thanks to you, Bitey. I'll take Russia if I can make it past the bears. Thanks again, Dfrg.msc 1 . 2 . 3 08:53, 22 September 2006 (UTC)
- P.S. Help me get some dirt on Craig.

Your edit to Shining Force 3
How are Jumesyn and the official developer sites "non-notable fansites"? JuMeSyn is one of the longest running Shining Force 3 fansites with comprehensive information on the game unavailable anywhere else. As for the official developer site, I think that goes without mentioning. I feel you were in error with this edit and should revert it - Sieghardt 12:29, 2 October 2006 (UTC)
Re: Your reply. It has several domains www.jumesyn.com being the previous address, it has no alexa rating simply because of its robots.txt file. I suggest you review the site's content before removing it on such fickle reasoning. I note that today you edited the page to remove MORE sites, so now the only related link is to the official Camelot site, which is quite ridiculous. Shining Force Central, JuMeSyn and Home of Shining Force 3 should at least be linked to for information about the game.

No problem!
Wondering if you could take a look at the claim of the guy who posted above you on my page? I removed a non-notable edition and s/he's been groaning ever since without providing any proof of notability- a second opinion is probably a good way to go.

User:TJ Spyke deleting all the Wii Virtual Console noted under Platform
Hey can you do something about this? "Downloads don't count, Platform is for systems where the PHYSICAL copy of the game is available.". He told another person "Virtual Console games aren't listed(just like Xbox Live Arcade games aren't". So far he has deleted it off Super Mario 64, and ToeJam & Earl. He also apparently gave me a warning, though I don't know how.... he is apparently not a mod or admin. Starmenclock 21:19, 24 September 2006 (UTC)

Nishkid64's RfA thanks
Thank you very much for participating in my RfA, which closed successfully earlier today with a result of (60/9/4). Although, I encountered a few problems in my RfA, I have peacefully resolved my conflicts and made amends with the people involved. Regarding your edit to the Star Wars Portal......
I must ask what warrants that action of removing the pictures displayed, being that yes they are Fair use images but I'm a little confused on that I thought it was authorized to display those pictures in a portal. If you could just take a second and give me a link or a quick explanation that would be great..... --Sadow (talk | contr.) 12:06, 28 September 2006 (UTC)

Uhh, hmm, well, okay I'll remove it.. T.T Imoeng 07:46, 2 October 2006 (UTC)
- From what I know, I think the fair use are only the cartoon images. What about the guitarists? I can remove Homer from it though. Cheers -- Imoeng 07:49, 2 October 2006 (UTC)
Okay thank you, I will use images from John Petrucci, Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, and Mark Tremonti. None of them is fair use. Thanks -- Imoeng 08:31, 2 October 2006 (UTC)
- LOL one of them is fair use. Okay no worries, just believe in me. Cheers -- Imoeng 08:34, 2 October 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for the message, I'm currently making toothpicks for all with the teak wood :)
Anywho, I've been busy with work and some traveling and all that other good stuff, so most of my Wikipedia activities have been admin-related stuff along with my usual browsing and reading. And speaking of that, should you accept a nomination in November, I'd be more than happy to co-nominate you. Keep up your good work! Teke (talk) 18:09, 2 October 2006 (UTC)

Vijayanagar kings template
Sir, I removed the template from the page for individual kings (which I am currently editing from scholarly sources provided) because the same info is already available in the succession box at the bottom of the page for navigation. Also for many of the kings who are not prominant, the quantum of info in the page itself is less. Adding a template to the page unnecessarily grows the length of the page making it lookm awkward. I hope this is a satisfactory explanation. If you insist on having the template back in every page for every king, I can put it in, though I believe its not necessary.

Category:Religion by country
Hello, I am currently adding Category:Religion by country to the African countries. I noticed that you had recategorized these countries from Category:Religion by country -> Category:Religion in Africa. Normally, country categories are categorized with the "categories by country" category in addition to the "categories by continent" when available. - GilliamJF 13:41, 17 October 2006 (UTC)

Spoofhound
I'm going to ask to please modify your position on Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Spoofhound. I spent several hours creating the List of unique high school mascots sorted by state to show its uniqueness and notability. A lot of high school names have unique and fun mascot names if folks have a sense of humor. The Spoofhound is definitely notable on that list. Thanks. Americasroof 02:20, 26 October 2006 (UTC)
Thanks for the review
Thanks for your review. Though it was rather short, it was good. I do do some RC patrolling every now and then, and as I said I would like to do AFD but the reading material is a lot. Basically, a brief summary of how to nominate, why to nominate, and what to do in general would be nice. I'm also starting to get involved in WikiProject Cats in an effort to improve Warriors articles, cause they're in bad shape. Thanks again! DoomsDay349 22:57, 28 October 2006 (UTC)
Food Portal information
I just wanted to let you know I am working on information regarding food science and technology and am assisting in more of the technical aspects of food. The organizations that are dealing with food that I am placing in the food portal are scientific-based. Since you are the creator of this protal, do you have any objections to this? Please advise.
