Trevor Kennerd

Trevor Kennerd (born December 23, 1955) was a kicker for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in the Canadian Football League (CFL) from 1980-1991. He was a three-time CFL All-Star and helped the Blue Bombers to three Grey Cup victories, including kicking the winning field-goal in the 1988 Grey Cup. He was inducted into the Winnipeg Blue Bomber Hall of Fame in 1997 and was selected as one of the 20 Blue Bombers All-Time Greats in 2005.

On April 3, 2007, Kennerd announced that he was entering Canadian federal politics by seeking the Conservative nomination in the riding of Winnipeg South Centre. He was acclaimed as the candidate in June of 2007. CJOB Radio
