[edit] Biography
[edit] Pre-Face to Face
After graduating high school in 1987, Keith decided to form a band with his friends Matt Riddle, Matthew Altmire, and Altmire's brother. They eventually formed a local metal band Victoria Manor. Very little is known about the band, and only three or four songs from a demo called "Side One" have ever surfaced. The group intended to record another tape called "Side Two", but never did. Instead they went their own way. Keith and Riddle would later form Face to Face.
[edit] Face to Face
When Victoria Manor fell apart, Keith and Riddle formed Zero Tolerance in 1989.[1] After recruiting Mark Haake on guitar and Rob Kurth on drums, they started writing and recording demos, then performed a number of local shows. After Haake left the band, Zero Tolerance changed its name to Face to Face in 1991.[1]
Cited as a seminal California punk group, Face to Face were active until 2003, although they briefly reunited a year later for a farewell tour. In 2005, the band released a CD/DVD compilation, Shoot the Moon, on Keith's label, Antagonist Records.
On January 29, 2008, Face to Face announced on their official website that the band has reunited, with the Ignorance is Bliss line-up, for a number of shows in the US.[2] On April 5, 2008, the band performed together for the first time in four-and-a-half-years at The Bamboozle Left. At this moment, plans for a full scale tour and new album have not been made.
[edit] Outside Face to Face
After Face to Face's break up, Keith retreated out of the limelight to work with up and coming bands for his label and joined the mash-up group Legion of Doom. Keith is also a player in the band Viva Death along with Scott Shiflett, face to face's former bassist.
Keith released his first solo album, Melancholics Anonymous, in 2008 on his label Antagonist Records. You can stream the entire record at his website.
