Trenway Textiles is a family owned textile mill located in Northeast Tennessee. It was founded by Harlen D. Booth in 1977 for the purpose of manufacturing baseball stirrup socks. As the business began to grow, socks for other sports were introduced such as Soccer, football, official, and cheerleading.
In the 1980's the company began producing headbands and wristbands and in the 1990's began manufacturing hockey socks. Today, Trenway Textiles is one of the few textile mills in North America still producing athletic socks. Many of the manufacturing plants have been replaced with imports from over seas. In the 2000's the company not only supplies socks, headbands and wristbands but also manufacturea knit caps, scarves and items for medical supply companies.
