Trent Dawson (born February 4, 1971 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana) is an American actor, best known for his role as Henry Coleman on the daytime soap opera As The World Turns. He was hired to play Henry for just a few days in 1999. Positive fan reaction to his character extended this first to several months, and finally an indefinite stay on the venerable soap. In 2005, the show signed him to a contract.
Trent Dawson is a uniquely skilled actor who can provide not only comedic relief to the show, but high drama, as he demonstrated in the story of Henry and Katie's brief marriage. Trent Dawson was nominated for an Emmy in 2006 for his portrayal of Henry Coleman. The addition of the talented Alexandra Chando as Henry's sister, Maddie, has created even more fan interest in the Coleman family on As the World Turns.
He recently traveled to New Orleans to help Habitat for Humanity rebuild houses post-Hurricane Katrina.
