Trend University (TU) was established on the 29 December 2006 as the first university in the world specialised in the field of technical analysis. Its curriculum is focused on emerging markets, new technical analysis tools and asset management techniques. The university aims at producing a unique generation of international technical analysis asset managers.

The four-year program could be completed at half the time period depending on each student's learning skills and devoted time. Students will study all major schools of technical analysis; the Classical school, the Japanese candelsticks school, the Point and Figure school, and the Elliott wave school. They graduate with a B.A. (Bachelor of Arts) degree in Technical Analysis.

In the freshman and sophomore years, candidates for the Bachelor of Arts in Technical Analysis explore areas of academic interest while fulfilling general technical analysis education and prerequisites for intended minors. Then in the 2nd term of their second year of study, students are given the option to select a minor study from the four studied schools of technical analysis to strengthen their analysis skills
