Trefforest Estate railway station is a small railway station built to serve the workers of Trefforest Industrial Estate. It is located on the Merthyr Line and the Rhondda Line 14 km (9 miles) north west of Cardiff Central.
Passenger services are provided by Arriva Trains Wales. Not all trains stop here, but most services during peak times do stop. The station is based around a central island platform which is accessible from a subway.
It was opened by the Great Western Railway in 1942[1].

Mondays to Saturdays there is a half-hourly service southbound to Cardiff Central and northbound to Pontypridd (hourly to Merthyr Tydfil).
