Treaty of Rouen

The Treaty of Rouen was signed on August 26, 1517 between France and Scotland. The accord was negotiated by Gavin Douglas, Bishop of Dunkeld, and Duke John of Albany. Based on the terms of the treaty, the Auld Alliance would be renewed whereby James V of Scotland would marry a daughter of Francis I.
