The Treaty of Bucharest was signed by Serbia and Bulgaria on March 3, 1886, in Bucharest (capital of Romania), marking the end of the Serbo-Bulgarian War. The terms of the treaty also established a political imperative whereby only a Bulgarian prince can become a governor of Eastern Rumelia.
