Treasure Hunt is a game adventure module for the Dungeons & Dragons role-playing game.
The characters begin in the Korinn Archipelago, and have been captured by slavers. A sea storm sends the pirate ship on which the characters are being held off course, and it crashes on an island once ruled by Viledel, the Sea King. Unfortunately, the island is also the battleground between tribes of seagoing orcs and goblins who want to take the island as their new headquarters.
Treasure Hunt is somewhat different from most other Dungeons & Dragons adventure modules in that characters start out as 0-level, and have no character class, and few skills; they are just average people. (It also eliminates the problem of equipping ones character for the adventure when one might not even know how to play. Characters start with light clothes and nothing else.) Over the course of the adventure, the Dungeon Master keeps track of the actions which the characters attempt to do; those who fight well become fighters, those who study the magical items found along the way will become magic-users, those who attempt thiefly activities become thieves, etc. Each character's behaviour also determines his or her alignment.
