[edit] "Vanity signature"

Yes, the page is based on my page, and yes, I'm the one who put that notice there. But the purpose of it is far from what was stupidly and rudely labeled "vanity". If a note of some kind is not placed on the actual page to that effect, eventually someone will come by and tag the article as a copyvio, quite rightly. This has happened on articles (by other people) on my own watchlist: they failed to do that, and sure nuff, someone, in some cases me, came by and tagged it as a copyvio. If someone can figure out how better to phrase it while referencing the origin of the article, please do it. For now, I've reverted the notice. Bill 15:33, 21 September 2005 (UTC)
