In light of the recent maritime dispute between Peru and Chile, it is too simplistic to claim as User:Messhermit has that, "The Treaty of Lima solved the dispute between Peru and Chile regarding the status of the[C]hilean administered territories." User:Bdean1963 28, January 2007
- The Treaty of Lima is recognized by Peru, Chile and the International Community as something already solved and with no claims from either part. The whole "dispute" involves the creation and the new limits of the Chilean XV Region. It has nothing to do with one side attempting to grab more territory from the other.
