[edit] Category hierachy
Should this be a daughter category of Category:Flora of the United States? Alan Liefting 11:03, 18 June 2006 (UTC)
- Just an edit note first: -> Hierarchy, "i before e", and all, ..... except for the Exceptions.
- I personally cannot comment of a hierarchy for hardy palms(I just glanced at the article), but it seems logical to me that it could be a Subcategory of Trees. However,.....Any subcategory can be multiple subcategories of others. I think it is what ends up being 'logical', or 'appropriate' in certain situations. As an aside, Example, I just started putting birds in some Avifauna cats, for example: Blue Jay; it is a bird of Eastern U.S., and could have gone in the cat either: Avifauna of North America, or Wildlife of North America. Being such a common, popular, distinctive, colorful bird, I put it in Wildlife of North America (it could be in the Avifauna of North America, but there will be plenty of birds, finally populating that category). The point is, it is in the Eastern U.S. (the Scrub jays in the West), and a popular bird of "Wildlife of North America". Michael inHotYUMA,Az--Mmcannis 20:31, 18 June 2006 (UTC)
[edit] where to put articles?
should every tree article in this 'Trees of the United States' be placed directly in this category even if they are also placed in one or more subcats of this cat? If so or if not, a statement regarding this should be placed in this category's description. Hmains (talk) 19:03, 9 February 2008 (UTC)
